We believe our success depends on satisfying the customer and establishing a long record of performance that provides our customers with the quality they expect.POSITION SUMMARYThe PSI Group, a leading manufacturer of corrugated boxes, is seeking General Manufacturing Technicians to join our 1st and 2nd shift teamsGeneral Manufacturing Technicians assist our machine operators and are important team members in our production processThese are entry level, full time positions with the opportunity for on the job training and advancementCore schedule for 1st shift is Monday through Thursday 5:
30am to 3:
00pm (includes 30 minute unpaid lunch) and Friday 5:
30am to 9:
30amCore schedule for 2nd shift is Monday through Thursday 3:
00pm to 1:
00amThese positions do not require the ability to rotate shiftsBoth shifts require the ability to work occasional overtime as needed.RESPONSIBILITIES Assist the Machine Operators by safely and efficiently feeding corrugated material into the manufacturing equipmentFollow all safety rules and initiatives.Transport printing dies and ink to and from production area.Manually transport and position empty pallets used in manufacturing process.Assist Machine Operator with daily operations and maintenance to ensure minimal downtime and excellent finished product quality.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIESSafety first mentality.Average mechanical skills and aptitude.Basic knowledge of industrial machinery.Average verbal and written communication skills.Team oriented approach.Ability to read a tape measure.Above average organizational skills and detail orientation.Ability to enter product specifications into the computersAbility to handle physical workload, up to 50 pounds, standing for the majority of the shift.Basic troubleshooting experience with willingness and aptitude to increase skill level and knowledgeBasic math skills required (fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction, division, multiplication)To be successful in these positions, you must be willing to make a commitment of time and effort to become part of a team producing quality corrugated boxes in a safe, drug free environmentExperience in operating manufacturing machines is a requirementWe offer excellent benefits to eligible employees, including 401(k), holidays, paid time off and more.In addition to a competitive pay and benefit package, PSI offers an opportunity for advancement in a rewarding work environment.
